Rackwood Rambling Rose (2015)

Dam: Rackwood Black Magic, Sire: Brackenbank Amos

Rambling Rose was very black and very hairy when she was born, very much like her mother, Black Magic, and grandmother, Magic, had been. She was an immediate sweet heart and was handled and shown with her mother throughout 2015.

Rose spent most of the next year at home with her half sister Sophie just being allowed to grow but did attend our two local agricultural shows in September.

Eggleston Show: 2nd Prize Fell 1&2yr old + Fell Reserve Champion
I took her in hand again during 2017 and showed her successfully at several local shows.

Wolsingham Show: 1st Prize Fell 2&3yr old

She was a very sensible youngster and relatively easy to handle. She then had another year off while I mouthed and backed her half sister Sophie ready to sell.

Early in 2019 I was struggling to find the time to handle all of my ponies so I arranged for Katie Raine to mouth and back Rose and then agreed to let her have her on breeding loan for twelve months. She was covered by Katie’s stallion Lunesdale Black Ice II and produced a filly foal during April 2020. Rose will come back to me after the foal is weaned in October 2020 and I plan to use her as my riding pony throughout 2021 and give her the time she deserves.
