Magic is probably the most famous of my ponies.  She was not handled as a foal because of my ill health nor shown as a yearling because of the F&M restrictions but gained immediate show ring success when shown as a two year old and became FPS Breed Show Female Champion in 2003.  I broke her to ride during the summer of 2003 but because of my work commitments decided to breed from her.  She became a broodmare in 2004 and has produced 13 healthy foals (2023) – 7 fillies and 6 colts.  I have kept 2 fillies (Black Magic & Magic’s Finale) and sold all of the colts.  Roamer was killed in a road traffic accident shortly after going to his new home.  As a broodmare she became FPS Breed Show Female Champion and FPS Breed Show Supreme Champion in 2007.   She has been an excellent broodmare and has produced some quality foals but in 2013 I thought she should have a change of career and become a ridden pony.  That idea was very short lived because I have far too many ponies to ride so she was soon back breeding, having her last foal during the summer of 2021 at the age of 21years.  Now she is the ‘old granny’ that looks after the young ones and teaches them manners.  My pony of a lifetime that I hope will remain happy and healthy for many more years.
